More than forty cybersecurity merger and acquisition (M&A) deals were announced in June 2025. An analysis conducted by SecurityWeek shows that 405 cybersecurity-related mergers and acquisitions were announced in 2024. Check out the detailed report Here is a list of the most important cybersecurity M&A deals announced in June 2025: Enterprise software giant Atlassian has announced the acquisition of Borneo for its security and privacy observability platform. Borneo allows organizations to identify and address data risks, and the acquisition will enable Atlassian to enhance its security and monitoring capabilities in Atlassian Guard. Bitdefender has announced plans to buy Israel-based email security solutions provider Mesh Security. Mesh's email security technology and capabilities will be integrated into Bitdefender's XDR platform and MDR services. Forensic investigation solutions provider Cellebrite announced an agreement to acquire virtualization software firm Corellium in a $200 million deal. Both companies have been at the center of controversy in recent years. Data security company Cyera, which recently raised $540 million, has acquired Otterize, a firm that specializes in securing cloud-native non-human identities and data flows, in a deal valued at tens of millions of dollars. The deal enables Cyera to expand its data security platform. Data governance, compliance, and protection solutions provider Kiteworks has acquired Netherlands-based email security firm Zivver. Kiteworks will integrate Zivver's secure email capabilities into its Private Data Network to expand its capabilities. Zivver will continue to be sold and supported independently. Digital investigations company Magnet Forensics has announced the acquisition of Dark Circuit Labs, a firm specialized in vulnerability research and exploit development. Dark Circuit Labs helps Magnet enhance its research capabilities, and expands its ability to support federal projects. Networking giant Netgear has entered a definitive agreement to acquire Exium, a company providing secure access service edge (SASE) solutions. Exium's SASE platform will be added to Netgear's offering. Netgear said its goal is to bring integrated security and networking to SMBs. Electronic signature, cloud authentication and mobile app security provider OneSpan has acquired Nok Nok Labs, a company that specializes in FIDO passwordless authentication solutions. OneSpan recently launched FIDO2 security keys and the Nok Nok Labs deal enables it to further expand and enhance its authentication portfolio. Data security company Rubrik has agreed to acquire Predibase to accelerate the adoption of agentic AI. Rubrik, which reportedly paid over $100 million for Predibase, said the deal enables it to enhance AI model accuracy, lower costs, improve performance, and automate data governance. Securonix is acquiring threat intelligence platform ThreatQuotient to boost plans to build an all-in-one security operations stack. The goal is to create a comprehensive and fully integrated AI-driven platform for threat detection, investigation, and response. Software security firm Snyk has acquired Swiss company Invariant Labs to accelerate agentic AI innovation.
