June 23, 2025 Pat Condo Reston, Va.-based Seekr Technologies has announced the first closing of a targeted $100 million funding round, with New York-based Danu Venture Group and chipmaker AMD’s venture unit, AMD Ventures, backing the generative AI company aiming to leverage its patented technology that reduces “hallucinations” and bias in AI applications. The startup said it is raising the funds at a valuation of $1.2 billion. Seekr is the latest venture of Pat Condo , who has founded several startups over the past three decades, according to his LinkedIn profile. Two of his ventures — Excalibur Technologies and Convera — went on to list on the Nasdaq. Seekr itself started out as an “alternative to existing search engines,” offering “objective results coupled with advanced information analysis to assist users in judging the quality of content,” Condo told an interviewer once. The company’s flagship product, called SeekrFlow, is an all-in-one solution to build and deploy custom AI applications using proprietary data. In May, Seekr began delivery of its first AI Edge Appliances — a system to help government agencies deploy AI in air-gapped environments, or computers not connected to the internet, standalone data centers and contested environments. With over 30 customers and more than 100,000 end-users, Seekr says it generated over $18 million in revenue for 2024, and expects to be cash-flow breakeven in the next 12 months. Condo claims significant partnerships with the telecommunications industry, the defense and intelligence community, as well as the internet advertising market. In the past, he has held senior executive positions at Digital Equipment Corp., Harris Semiconductor and Northrop. “What is interesting about my trajectory is that I started my career working on navigation systems, which is all about guiding people to their destination. I was involved with two of the largest programs in U.S. technical history, the MX Missile program and the Space Shuttle program,” he told Fotis Georgiadis in an interview published on Medium. In May, Seekr won two U.S. Army Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contracts from the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense (OUSD) Research & Engineering Critical Technology Area of “Trusted AI and Autonomy.” In one, it will be part of Project Linchpin— the Army’s initiative to shape future AI/machine learning-based operational capabilities for rapid development and deployment of advanced analytics. In the other, Seekr will develop cutting-edge AI/ML for edge and austere environments, while pushing the frontier in “retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), adversarial validation, compute optimization, and collaborative AI for autonomous systems.”
