Ex-sócios da XP e Pactual apostam no ‘credit as a service’ da UY3 17 de junho de 2025 Pequena Grande A UY3 — uma fintech de credit as a service — acaba de levantar uma rodada de R$ 50 milhões para financiar seu plano agressivo de expansão, num mercado que começa a ganhar tração no Brasil. A captação foi feita com duas gestoras com forte background no setor financeiro: a NVA Capital, criada pelos ex-sócios da XP Marcelo Maisonnave, Pedro Englert e Eduardo Glitz; e a Vectis, de Patrick O’Grady, que foi sócio do velho Pactual, Pollux e XP, e André Sá, um ex-sócio do BTG. As duas gestoras investem majoritariamente com capital proprietário dos fundadores. Fundada há três anos, a UY3 nasceu da cabeça de três irmãos de origem uruguaia, o que explica o nome da empresa. Tabaré e Querandy Acosta têm mais de 25 anos no mercado de crédito, tendo operado por décadas uma securitizadora focada em FIDCs, o Grupo Plata. Já Caracé tem um background em tecnologia e é o CTO da startup. Com a UY3, os fundadores estão apostando na descentralização do crédito, permitindo que qualquer fintech, correspondente bancário ou varejista possa oferecer crédito a seus clientes usando a infraestrutura tecnológica e as licenças da startup. A UY3 também conecta esses clientes com o mercado financeiro, ajudando a levantar o funding para as operações, principalmente com a estruturação de FIDCs. O business de credit as a service já é competitivo, com grandes players como a QI Tech, que hoje lidera o mercado e foi avaliada em US$ 1 bi numa rodada recente com a General Atlantic . Mas Tabaré acredita que ainda há espaço para outros players, já que a descentralização do crédito está só começando a ganhar tração no Brasil. Para se ter uma ideia, só os quatro grandes bancos – Banco do Brasil, Bradesco, Itaú e Caixa – ainda dominam cerca de 60% de todo o crédito. “Mesmo com a criação das fintechs, ainda existe uma concentração muito grande. Existem 1.500 fintechs hoje no Brasil, mas só 250 oferecem crédito. Então é um movimento ainda muito embrionário,” disse Tabaré. Segundo ele, a UY3 está focando em três grandes públicos: as fintechs, os correspondentes bancários, e o mercado de embedded finance (varejistas, universidades e hospitais, por exemplo, que queiram dar crédito diretamente a seus clientes). A UY3 já tem cerca de 300 clientes e movimentou R$ 5 bilhões em crédito no ano passado. A startup oferece um portfólio completo de linhas de crédito, que vai do crédito pessoal ao consignado, passando pelo buy now, pay later e pelo crédito do FGTS (o maior mercado da startup hoje). Para este ano, a projeção é triplicar de tamanho, movimentando R$ 15 bilhões. A receita da UY3 é um fee que o cliente paga em cima da emissão de dívida, e que varia de acordo com o volume de cada cliente. Tabaré disse que a rodada de hoje não vai ser usada para aumentar o capital regulatório, já que a startup tem gerado caixa e expandido seu PL sem a necessidade de aportes externos. “O principal objetivo é investir em pessoas estratégicas, trazendo executivos C-Level que possam nos ajudar nessa fase de maior crescimento, e principalmente para investir na infraestrutura tecnológica,” disse o fundador.
