Streaming in Italia: Prime Video raggiunge Netflix, Disney+ in crescita 09 Luglio 2025 alle 16:23 2 minuti di lettura Nel secondo trimestre del 2025, il panorama dello streaming in Italia vede un cambiamento significativo ai vertici: Prime Video affianca Netflix al primo posto, entrambe con una quota di mercato del 27%. Almeno secondo i dati di JustWatch, la piattaforma internazionale che analizza le preferenze degli utenti su film e serie TV in streaming. L’interesse degli utenti viene misurato prendendo in considerazione i film e le serie TV che le persone aggiungono alla Watchlist, i clic sulle offerte di streaming presenti sulle pagine, l’uso di filtri per selezionare diverse piattaforme di streaming e la scelta di una di esse. La classifica La leadership di Netflix, a lungo incontrastata, appare ora meno solida. La piattaforma perde un punto percentuale rispetto al trimestre precedente, passando dal 28% al 27%, permettendo così a Prime Video di raggiungerla. Un pareggio che riflette una tendenza globale, ma che in Italia assume una connotazione particolare, segnalando un graduale riequilibrio tra i due colossi. In terza posizione si consolida Disney+, che guadagna un punto percentuale e si attesta al 18%. Pur rimanendo distante dai primi due, la piattaforma mostra una tendenza costante di crescita, supportato dal lancio di nuovi contenuti originali, inclusi prodotti localizzati per i diversi mercati europei. Apple TV+ segna un aumento del 2% e raggiunge il 6%, alla pari con Now TV, stabile rispetto al primo trimestre. Anche Infinity+ cresce, passando dal 3% al 5%, mentre Paramount+ resta ferma al 4%. Discovery+ si mantiene al 2% e MUBI chiude la classifica con l’1%, in lieve calo. Un mercato in movimento Il confronto con gli altri mercati europei evidenzia come Netflix e Prime Video si contendano la leadership, ma con esiti diversi. Nel Regno Unito Netflix resta davanti di due punti (26% contro 24%), mentre in Germania accade il contrario: Prime Video primeggia con il 28% contro il 25% di Netflix. In Francia, come in Italia, le due piattaforme sono ora appaiate in vetta (25% ciascuna), mentre in Spagna Netflix mantiene un vantaggio di tre punti. Oltreoceano, negli Stati Uniti, Prime Video è in lieve vantaggio (21% contro 20%). Un dato interessante riguarda Disney+, che si avvicina sensibilmente alle due principali concorrenti nei principali mercati. In Regno Unito il distacco si riduce a soli 2 punti percentuali (erano 5 nel trimestre precedente). Risultati analoghi in Francia (5%) e Spagna (4%), segno che la strategia di espansione della libreria e l’offerta di contenuti locali sta funzionando. Nonostante la predominanza delle grandi piattaforme globali, alcune piattaforme locali riescono a ritagliarsi spazi significativi. In Francia, Canal+ si piazza al quarto posto con il 10%, pur perdendo un punto. In Spagna, Filmin e Movistar+ guadagnano rispettivamente un punto (5% e 4%). Anche in Italia Infinity+ con il 5% si distingue tra le piattaforme secondarie, come RTL+ in Germania.
