Kurly posts first-ever operating profit on consolidated basis 2025.05.14 10:57:12 Receiver Kurly CI South Korean online grocer Kurly posted a consolidated operating profit in the first quarter of 2025, its first since the company’s founding a decade ago. The company reported on Tuesday that first-quarter revenue rose 8 percent year-over-year to 580.7 billion won ($409.7 million). Operating profit reached 1.76 billion won, improving by 1.95 billion won from a year earlier. While Kurly recorded a standalone operating profit of 525.7 million won during the same period in 2024, this year marks its first profit on a consolidated basis. 사진 확대 (Kurly) A company official credited the gains to stable growth in core businesses such as food and beauty and successful diversification efforts. Total transaction volume rose 15 percent to 844.3 billion won despite a sluggish economic environment. Food sales rose 16 percent, while its beauty platform Beauty Kurly saw strong performance across luxury and indie brands. New revenue sources such as seller-shipped goods, fulfillment services, and logistics outsourcing also contributed to growth. “As we celebrate our first decade as a company, balanced growth across all units and diversification helped drive solid results,” the company said.
