Agentic artificial intelligence is reshaping cybersecurity, moving from back-office support to autonomous decision-making at the front lines. "Artificial intelligence provides a bunch of opportunities for us now. The ability to process huge amounts of data and take action on it to stop threats is an opportunity we can't pass up," said Greg Notch, chief security officer at Expel. Security teams must now embrace AI-driven automation not only to counter the increasing speed and sophistication of adversaries but also to manage cost and scale. "You can't scale people fast enough or cheaply enough in order to make these things count," Notch said. This reality has transformed automation from a convenience into a strategic imperative, he said.
