Sébastien Frédeau, le CEO d'Alan Belgique, se montre très satisfait de cette association devenue opérationnelle début 2025. "Nous sommes présents dans un marché qui s'accélère beaucoup. Nous multiplions par deux notre portefeuille en 2024 et couvrons près de 1 500 entreprises. Belfius nous aide dans cette accélération de la croissance. Lotus Bakeries est l'une de nos premières réussites", souligne-t-il. Alan est une véritable "success story" dans l'Hexagone. Elle a été créée en 2016 par Jean-Charles Samuelian-Werve et Charles Gorintin, deux jeunes entrepreneurs qui venaient tous les deux du monde de la tech. Laquelle tech "joue un rôle central dans notre produit", l'intelligence artificielle servant de pierre angulaire. "C'est une vraie plateforme techno. On essaie de rendre l'expérience la plus simple possible", poursuit Sébastien Frédeau. L'arrivée d'Alan dans le secteur de l'assurance se voulait clairement disruptive. Ses fondateurs, devenus actuaires en 9 mois, ayant réussi la prouesse d'être les premiers à décrocher une licence assurance en France depuis 1986. Dix ans après sa création, l'entreprise, présente en France, en Espagne, au Canada et en Belgique (où elle emploie environ 65 personnes), affiche des revenus récurrents annuels de 530 millions d'euros et est valorisée 4 milliards d'euros. Outre les fondateurs, elle compte aussi parmi ses actionnaires, OTPP (Ontario's Teacher pension fund), le plus grand fonds de pension au Canada. Alan vient, selon des sources proches du dossier, de décrocher un très important contrat avec le ministère français des Finances (Bercy), qui compte 130 000 agents à assurer. En Belgique, elle a aussi à son actif quelques beaux clients comme Vandemoortele ou Beobank. Rapidité de remboursement Alan se présente comme le "partenaire santé pour les indépendants et les entreprises, toutes tailles et secteurs confondus, pour qu'ils ne soient plus jamais seuls face à leur santé", peut-on lire sur le site. Ses interlocuteurs sont donc avant tout les responsables des ressources humaines. Elle veut aider "les gens à vivre en bonne santé", ce qui implique aussi un accent mis sur la prévention. Exemple : Alan Backpain, qui donne accès à un programme de physiothérapie numérique personnalisé. "87 % de ses 22 000 utilisateurs en France signalent une réduction de la douleur après avoir terminé le programme de 14 jours", indique l'entreprise.
